My name is Eva Frederick, and I am a science writer based in Austin, Texas. I’m currently the managing editor of Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine. You can also find my work in Science Magazine, Undark, MIT Technology Review, the Houston Chronicle, Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine, Eos, and other publications. I focus primarily on biology and environmental science (with a mostly-unintentional focus on plants and bugs) but I’ve also written about computer science, assistive technology, neuroscience and more. I completed bachelors degrees in biology and journalism at the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, and earned my masters degree from MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing in 2019.
